Prizes totalling $1,550 for three Yiddish plays were announced here today by the Argentine Jewish Art Society. The contest is open to all Yiddish writers throughout the world. First prize–$1,000–is for an original three-act play, while two lesser awards will be made for one-act manuscripts. All entries must be submitted to the Society by the end of February, 1949.
