Ariel Sharon flew to New York for the opening of the U.N. General Assembly, where he will characterize the Gaza withdrawal as a new chance for Israeli-Palestinian peace. Sharon left Tuesday for New York and will address the General Assembly on Thursday as part of the U.N. World Summit.
