Arno Herzberg, who headed JTA’s Berlin bureau on the eve of World II, died Saturday in New Jersey at 94. Herzberg, who served in the Berlin post from 1934 to 1937, saw his journalism work during the early years of the Nazi regime as “espionage,” according to his son Peter.
