An appeal to make funds available for paying the costs of proving citizenship has been addressed by Jews in the Rumanian provinces of Bessarabia, Transylvania and Bukowina to relatives and Landsmannschaften organizations in America, according to a cable received by HIAS from its Paris office. An estimated expenditure of $10 to $15 is involved.
