Asst. Secretary of War Stresses Need for Passage of Dp Bill

Assistant Secretary of War Howard C. Peterson, who is touring the American zone of Germany, said here today that passage by Congress of the Stratton Bill was the only real solution to the DP problem. Petersen said that the present program of DP care had been designed as a stop-gap system and cannot continue indefinitely because of “the debilitating effects which do not permit normal life.”
