At a dinner-meeting of the Y. M. H. A. -Y. W. H. A. Sunday evening, the campaign to raise $125,000 to lift the burden of debt from the “Y” was officially launched. Judge Ben Terte was the principal speaker. Arthur A. Guettel is general chairman of the campaign.
The fund sought will be utilized to liquidate the mortgage on the Association property to wipe out all other indebtedness and to provide adequate means for the expansion of the already large program of activities of the Association.
Pledges amounting to $40,000 were announced at the dinner.
