By a margin of $350, the seven day campaign of the Federation of Jewish Charities went over the top as $25,600 was raised by the workers. The result assures funds for some twenty local institutions and charities during the coming year.

Harry Cassman, an attorney, president, stated that it is the first time in many years that a local campaign has exceeded its quota. He also pointed out that it was the only one of a score of city drives in New Jersey this year to do so.

Lancelot Addison, father of the famous essayist, in 1675 published a book on the Jews based largely on his observations in the Barbary States.”
