For the first time, a seven-member delegation from the American Sephardi Federation (ASF), the all-embracing organization of Sephardic Jewry in the United States, participated in the recent World Sephardi Federation meeting in Geneva, where plans for activating world Sephardic Jewry to help Israel and Jews in Arab lands were adopted.

It was announced at Geneva that a $100 million fund to help Israel’s Oriental Jewish families solve their housing, education and welfare problems and to train social workers is to be set up by the government, the Jewish Agency and the World Sephardi Federation.
