Alfonse Aulard, Professor at the University of Paris and noted friend of the Jewish people, died here at the age of 79. Professor Aulard was the head of the International League for Human Rights, which was ever zealous to stand against any persecution of the Jews in Western Europe. He was a witness for the defense at the trial of Sholom Schwartzbard. He also aided suffering Jewish students.
