Hyman Goldstein, member of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales, was killed here when he fell from a cliff near his residence. He was fifty-two years old.

A native of London, Mr. Goldstein came to Sydney as a youth. For some time he was Mayor of Randwick and in the state parliament he was known as a fluent orator and distinguished for his public spirit. At the time of his death he was treasurer of the local Jewish effort to assist in East European reconstruction by support of the Ort, Oze and Emigdirekt.
