Austria Jewish Cemetery Desecrated

The Jewish cemetery of Eisenstadt, Austria, was desecrated last weekend. The police of Eisenstadt, in the southern province of Burgenland, said that some 80 gravestones were daubed with swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans.

A pamphlet as found there by police, saying that this action was meant to “hail Jorg Haider,” head of far-right Liberal Party. The text was signed by a locally unknown Aryan Resistance Movement.
