The Austrian Government handed over to West German authorities today a former Gestapo member, Kurt Wiese, accused of murdering Jewish children in Grodno and Bialystock in occupied Lithuania and Poland.

He escaped to Austria last summer and was arrested there. Extradition proceedings took several months. The Vienna High Court refused to extradite him. The extradition was arranged only after the Austrian High Court took the case and ordered his transfer.
