Austria’s far-right Freedom Party could have its political fortunes improve after two other parties failed to form a coalition. The inability of the Social Democrats and the People’s Party to form a government could lead to new elections, which may provide another electoral success for the Freedom Party, led by Jorg Haider. Haider’s party came in second in parliamentary elections last October.
