Israeli journalists and editors today feted Avraham Harman, this country’s new Ambassador to the United States, who is leaving for Washington this month to assume his new post. Representatives of the Jewish Agency executive, on which Mr. Harman has served, were also present at the send-off party which took place in the Journalists’ Club.
The appointment of Yehezkiel Sahar, former Israel Police Inspector General, as ambassador to Austria, was announced today following approval of an Israel-Austrian agreement to raise their respective legations to embassies.
