A Royal Humane Society parchment for bravery was presented in Glasgow to Chief Officer R.C.D. Flamstead, of the Merchant Navy, in recognition of the part he played in rescuing refugees from the ill-fated S. S. Patria when the ship was blown up in Haifa harbor in November, 1940, it was announced here today.
