Slightly more than $6,000 short of their quota of $590,000, thirty workers in the Associated Jewish Charities campaign have guraranteed to raise the amount by next Thursday.
The proposal of these workers, leaders of solicitors’ groups, served to extend for a week the financial effort of the organization. Their guarantee like wise made it possible to turn the meeting at the Southern Hotel last night into a victory luncheon as had been planned.
Sidney Lansburgh, president of the Clarities, was general chairman of the campaign.
