The school board today questioned 18 suspended students of Gynns Falls Junior High School in the opening of an official inquiry into the reported branding of Melvin Bridge, Jewish student, with the letter “H” (for Hebrew) and a resultant fight on the school grounds four days later. The Grand Jury will make its own investigation tomorrow.

An investigator of the House Committee on Un-American Activities will be sent here within a few days to investigate anti-Semitism in Baltimore schools, Chairman Martin Dies advised city authorities by telephone from Houston, Tex. As a result of the fight on the school grounds on Tuesday between Bridge’s friends and the pro-Nazi students, Morton Rosen one of the youth’s friends, has been arrested on two assault charges.
