Baltimore to Raise $100,000 for Yeshiva

The Jewish community of Detroit was matched by the Jewish community of Baltimore in the campaign to raise $5,000,000 for the Yeshiva College.

At a meeting in Baltimore last week under the chairmanship of William Levy, of the Baltimore Jewish community, Jewish leaders pledged to raise the amount of $100,000 towards the $5,000,000 campaign for the Yeshiva College, thus matching the undertaking of the Yeshiva College campaign committee in the city of Detroit.

The campaign in Baltimore to raise the $100,000 fund will be launched in January. The committee consists of Joseph Berman, Albert Berney, H. L. Caplan, N. Caplan, Emil Crockin, P. W. Gundersheimen Milton Gundersheimer, Manuel Hendler, H. Joseph Hyman, Dr. Moses Seidel, Israel Silverstein, Saul Silverman, T. Silverman, Aaron Strauss, Manes Strauss and Mano Schwartz, under the Chairmanship of William Levy.

The cooperation of the two cities was enlisted by Harris L. Selig, Executive Director of the Yeshiva College Builiding Fund.
