Baron Edmond de Rothschild is the grandson of the man whose name became a byword in international finance and philanthropy and who played a major part in the early development of Jewish colonization of Palestine.

The Ampal is a corporation of private American investors which itself has played a leading role in the development of Israel’s economy for the past two decades.
