Belarus officials gave the Czech Foreign Ministry a list of the names of 983 Czech Jews who were executed by the Nazis in Belarus in the summer of 1942. Czech Jewish leaders welcomed the decision to hand over the list, which was found in archives abandoned by the retreating German armies toward the end of the war.
