Prime Minister David Ben Gurion today expressed “sincere and heartfelt appreciation” for the “huge successes” of the ten simultaneous celebrations of Israel’s Fifth Anniversary held in New York last Monday evening by the Israel bond drive. Mr. Ben Gurion cabled his congratulations from Jerusalem to Henry Morgenthau, Jr., chairman of the Board of Governors of the Israel bond drive.
More than 21,000 New Yorkers purchased Israel bonds to gain admission to anniversary celebrations held at ten different theatres.
