Premier David Ben Gurion today reported to the Security and Political Committee of the Israel Parliament on political developments and on Israel’s attitude toward the discussions now taking place at the emergency session of the United Nations General Assembly.
This was the Premier’s first report to his Parliamentary body since the exchange of correspondence took place between him and French Premier Gen. de Gaulle. It is understood that the Premier reported also on the results of the talks held by Israel Foreign Minister Golda Meir with the Foreign Ministers of Britain, France and Italy. Mr. Ben Gurion’s report, given in camera, was said to be optimistic, especially with regard to possibility of obtaining arms which Israel has been requesting from certain countries.
