Defense Minister David Ben Gurion, attending his first Cabinet meeting since his re-joining the government, told the ministers today that he will undertake a new study of the country’s security situation, in the course of which he will inspect various border positions.
Mr. Ben Gurion also made it clear that he re-joined the Cabinet on the understanding that the Defense Minister, like any other minister, was responsible to the government and the Premier. He thanked his fellow members of the Cabinet and the various Israel parties, including the Agudsh and Poale Agudah, who had given him their support in his present post.
