David Ben Gurion, head of the Jewish Agency’s Jerusalem executive, last night urged world-wide military and naval training of Jewish youth and fortification of key points in Palestine as necessary to the Zionist cause. Addressing the annual convention of the MAPAI, Palestine Workers’ Party, Mr. Ben Gurion stressed the necessity of speedy acquisition of land and colonization. He warned against the “illusion” of finding a pro-Zionist attitude at present among the Arab people.
Declaring there was no need for the Jews to despair of the future, he said that “the Jewish people more than ever needs allies, and Britain remains the greatest ally.” He called for unity within the Zionist labor movement and consolidation of the Zionist front and of Jewish strength.
