Former Premier David Ben Gurion told a national convention of the Women’s International Zionist Organization (WIZO) last night that they must bring up their children in a pioneering tradition because there is no greater danger to Israel than the wasteland.

Speaking to some 1,500 women at Migdal Ascalon, Mr. Ben Gurion called for each family to help in the integration of the tens of thousands of immigrants expected here from North Africa by “adopting” an immigrant family. In this way, he said, the Israeli woman could teach the immigrant woman the things she has to know to acclimate her family while the other members of the household were helping their opposite numbers get adjusted to the new life.
