Benno Milnitzky, president emeritus of the Brazil Israelite Confederation, died at 82 in Sao Paulo on Thursday. The confederation is the umbrella organization of Brazilian Jewry. Milnitzky was the first Brazilian to be elected president of the Latin American Jewish Congress, a branch of the World Jewish Congress.
