The 500th anniversary of the birth of Isaac Abrabanel, Jewish Biblical commentator, is being celebrated with an exhibition at the Jewish Museum here.
Descendants of Abrabanel now living in Berlin attended the opening of the exhibition, which includes first editions of his works, one of them an incunabulum, illustrated manuscripts of the Bible and prayer books with his commentaries, pages from illuminated manuscripts, portraits of him and his contemporaries, and related artistic and religious objects.
