Berlin Liberal Jews Won’t Serve on Kehillah Board

The Liberal Jews, once the ruling element in the Jewish community of Berlin, are not represented on the praesidium of the Kehillah.

The board was constituted last Sunday at a meeting of the Kehillah, Geheimrat Stern, semi-Conservative, was elected chairman of the board, Dr. Alfred Klee, Zionist, and Herr Loeb, Conservative, were elected vice-chairmen. The Liberal Jewish representatives who are in the minority, declined to accept posts on the praesidium.
