Bialystock Synagogue Hit by Lightning

Much damage was caused to the main synagogue of Bialystock, Poland, when a bolt of lightning hit the building, causing a fire. The city fire department was called to extinguish the flames.

Several scores of Jewish homes were destroyed in a fire caused by lightning in the town Kniszyn, near Bialystock.
