William J. Bingham, director of athletics at Harvard University, chairman of the Field and Track Committee of American Olympic team and member of the American Olympic Committee, was on record today favoring United States participation in the Berlin games with a signed article in the Harvard Crimson, student daily newspaper.

Mr. Bingham in a previous interview said he would oppose American participation if discrimination against Jewish athletes were shown. In the article he insists that Germany will keep her promises in regard to the games and declares that German Jews are being given an opportunity to train for the German Olympic team.
