Jewish shopkeepers who closed their places of business during the general strike April 17 to protest the recent disturbances are prominently listed in two of the local anti-Semitic papers, “Rzeczpospolita” and “Dwa Groshe”. Poles are urged by these publications to make more effective the boycott against these Jewish shopkeepers.
