In order to prevent the closing of the Jewish Toynbee Hall of Berlin for lack of coal the B’nai B’rith today sent $2,000 toward the maintenance of the institution, says an announcement by the Executive Committee of the Order here today.

In addition to its numerous activities as the largest Jewish community center in Berlin, Toynbee Hall is also operating a free soup kitchen for the Jewish poor of that city.
