In a letter to Senator John Sparkman of Alabama, Acting Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, B’nai B’rith President Label A. Katz said Congress should grant Mr. Kennedy’s request in order to lift the threat of insolvency from the U.N. and to strengthen the prestige and authority of the international organization.
