B’nai Brith Extends Its Lodges to China

A charter for the establishment of a B’nai Brith lodge in Shanghai, China, was granted at a meeting of the Administrative Board of the Constitution Grand Lodge.

The Board also authorized the B’nai Brith Housing Fund in Palestine to proceed with the erection of sixteen houses on a plot selected by the local committee. This is in accordance with the plan of building in the Garden City. Authorization was given to the lodge in Tel Aviv to purchase a building for B’nai Brith local activities.

The National Director of the Wider Scope Committee, Dr. Boris D. Bogen, reported the receipt of $196,539. in actual cash on $1,000,000 pledges for five years obtained throughout the country.
