Citations for services to interfaith goodwill and for spiritual leadership were presented here last night to the three Chief Chaplains of the American armed forces by the Alexander D. Goode Lodge of B’nai B’rith.

The presentations are made annually in honor of the four chaplains of three different faiths who sacrificed their lives to save four American soldiers during World War II when a troop ship on which they were travelling was torpedoed. The recipients were Maj. Gen, Patrick J. Ryan, Army; Rear Admiral Edward P. Harp, Jr., Navy, and Major. Gen, Charles I. Carpenter, Air Force.
