B’nai B’rith International called on Argentina to continue searching for those responsible for the March 17, 1992, car bombing of the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires and the July, 18, 1994, bombing of the Jewish community center in the Argentine capital. The perpetrators must be identified and tried “for the sake of justice and in the names of the victims,” the organization’s president, Richard Heideman, wrote in a letter to Argentine President Carlos Menem. The two attacks resulted in the deaths of 115 people and the wounding of another 500.
