The executive committee of the B’nai B’rith reaffirmed its support of the Stratton Bill to admit 400,000 DP’s of all faiths to this country during a four-year period and pledged its support of President Truman’s 10-point program on civil rights at a meeting here.
Frank Goldman, president, reported that the organization has grown to a national membership of 203,000 men and 103,000 women. The executive voted a new organizing drive and the establishment of multiple lodges in large communities which now have only one B’nai B’rith lodge. It also decided to establish a "Jewish Pulitzer Prize" for persons of any faith who produce outstanding works in art, music or literature which contribute most to Jewish culture.
