B’nai B’rith’s annual regional conference for the Caribbean area has been held in Curacao. One of the main projects of the conference was the creation of a district grand lodge to include Mexico through Central American with all of the islands in the Caribbean area. Previously, one grand lodge existed and encompassed Latin America as well.

Nicholas Debrot, governor of the Netherlands Antilles, welcomed the 20 delegates. They were led by Moises Mizrachi, president of the Caribbean Regional Council of B’nai B’rith.
