The Board of Deputies of British Jews adopted a resolution last night providing for enlargement of the Joint Foreign Committee, which represents the board and the Anglo-Jewish Association, for the duration of the war.

The resolution calls for increasing the board’s representatives from six to nine, the association’s delegates from two to three, together with the presidents of the two bodies and three coopted members, as hitherto. Leonard Stein, of the Anglo-Jewish Association, declared he would recommend adoption of the resolution by the association.

The board also adopted, without opposition, a resolution moved by Prof. Selig Brodetsky to enlarge its executive committee to include the chairmen of the Joint Foreign Committee and five additional board members.

Neville Laski, retiring president of the board, mentioned the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee on Dec. 2 and expressed the warmest congratulations of the board.
