A bomb believed to have been planted by the OAS, the secret French rebel force opposed to Algerian independence, exploded today at the country home of Baron James de Rothschild, at Compiegnes.

Damage was caused to the home, but no one was injured. The Baron and his entire family were home at the time the explosive went off. The bombing is believed here to have been caused by Baron de Rothschild’s support of President de Gaulle’s Algerian policy.
