“The Case of Civilization Against Hitlerism,” sponsored by the American Jewish Congress and published by Robert Ballou & Company of New York, is attracting attention in many parts of the world, with orders and requests for information about the book from Tel Aviv; the Jewish communities of Natal, Cape Town, Johannesburg, King Williamstown, South Africa, and Bombay, India, it was learned yesterday.
Among those who ordered copies is Professor Brodetsky, London scientists, and head of the political department of the Jewish Agency there.
The book contains the addresses delivered at the meeting held at Madison Square Garden last March 7, on the anniversary of the rise of Hitler to power in Germany. The addresses were carefully revised by the speakers, among whom were Roger Baldwin, Dr. Lewellys F. Barker, Dr. Arthur J. Brown, Abraham Cahan, Chancellor Harry Woodburn Chase, Bernard S. Deutsch, William Green, Arthur Garfield Hays, John Haynes Holmes, Gustavus Kirby, Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia, Edward J. Neary, Professor Raymond Moley, Dr. Samuel Margoshes, former Governor Alfred E. Smith, Senator Millard E. Tydings of Maryland, Professor Seth Wakeman, Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Michael Williams and Samuel Seabury.
