Solomon Levitan of Madison, Wise., former progressive Republican state treasurer for many years, is being boomed by his friends for a position on the board of directors of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation. If appointed, he would enter the vacancy created by the death of John J. Blaine, another Wisconsin progressive Republican.
