One Israel watchman was killed and another wounded by Jordanian infiltrators near Mount Gilboa this week-end, it was reported here. The watchmen’s rifles were stolen by the infiltrators after the attack. Israel immediately demanded an emergency meeting of the Israel-Jordan Mixed Armistice Commission.

At the same time it was reported that two Egyptian infiltrators were killed within Israel territory during a clash with an Israel patrol, when they were harvesting fields near the border settlement of Kissufim. In this case Israel lodged a complaint with the Israel-Egyptian Mixed Armistice Commission.

Last night, an Israel military vehicle was landmined in the Kissufim area. The four occupants of the car were injured slightly.
