Boston’s delegates to the Zionist convention in Cleveland are given three alternatives with regard to the Brandeis-Mack memorandum according to a resolution adopted at a meeting here. They are urged to call for unity in the ranks of American Zionism and to seek a coalition of forces, but if that proves to be unfeasible they are to support a motion calling upon Justice Brandeis and his associates to take over the Zionist leadership. If they are unsuccessful in this they are left free to act at their own discretion according to the emergency of the hour and the good of the Zionist movement.

This was the substance of the resolution adopted after a long and wordy debate. It was introduced by Albert K. Sheldon. A counter resolution by Samuel Rubin, urging the immediate and direct acceptance of the Brandeis memorandum failed. Eight delegates to the convention were elected.

Edward Cohen, chairman of the Jewish National Fund of New England, reported that $6,500 had been collected for the memorial grove in honor of the late Judge David A. Lourie.
