One of the familiar sights in Jerusalem and other cities these days are huge wooden crates, the size of moving vans, containing furniture, effects, and other belongings of German Jewish immigrants, which are brought from the railroad depot to various apartments and places of business rented by the newcomers. The huge boxes are later used as garages for light cars!
