General of the Army Omar N. Bradley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said today that it is questionable whether the U.S. could make additional defense commitments to Turkey and the Middle East. He added that, in view of the urgent demands of Western Europe, there was a question whether at this time the U.S. could make additional commitments that far east.
