The Brandeis University three-year endowment campaign to raise $65,100,000 was launched at a dinner here last night with the announcement that advanced gifts totaling $13,542,023 had already been pledged for the drive.
The advance gifts will underwrite five fully endowed chairs for professors and 131 student scholarships and will pay for the remodeling of four buildings and the construction of ten others at the campus, it was announced by Joseph M. Linsey, national campaign chairman. He said that endowing professorial chairs and the establishment of more scholarships will be the major aim of the fund drive.
