Brazil’s president welcomed the newly elected officials of the country’s umbrella Jewish organization. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva greeted the new president and two vice presidents of the Brazilian Israelite Confederation, also known as Confib, during a Dec. 22 lunch in Brasilia.
