Brig. Gen. Edward Greenbaum, who served as one of the principal assistants of Secretary of War Patterson while the latter was Under-Secretary, was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal yesterday by Mr. Patterson. Gen. Greenbaum was a prominent New York attorney, and was active in Jewish communal affairs in civil life.
