Brigadier General Julius Klein, former president of the Jewish War Veterans of America, was stripped of his command this week-end when the Headquarters Company of the 109th Anti-Aircraft Brigade was ordered de-activated.
Gen. Klein attributed the action to a controversy that arose between him and his military superiors over his criticism of President Truman’s dismissal of General MacArthur. “Surely, it’s more than a little strange that the state should deactivate a major Guard unit while the nation is mobilizing,” he declared.
